Dan Dominguez

Once a guerrilla squatter for the non-profit SASQUACH (Students Against the Silencing and Quelling of Under-Appreciated Cat Haters) organization, Dan Dominguez led a turbulent life roaming from state to state in efforts to avoid federal officers by shacking up in vacant, often delapidated buildings. While running from the feds, he felt the need to journal his experiences and soon found that he had an affinity for wordsmithing and papyrus making. When he was finally apphrehended by the authorities, he negotiated a deal with his captors, wherein it states that he will take up employment as a writer for the United States Pro-Kitten Association. In this position, he has written some of the world’s most popular titles in feline fiction. In his latest effort to improve his writing, he has joined the Kean University Writers’ Workshop.

Note: This is only a mock bio that will stay up until the writer has finished one for himself.

Ray Wong

Ray Wong came from a traditional Chinese household in New Jersey, where spending time with his family always took precedence over playing with his friends at the local tire park. This later encouraged him to wonder and reason about his cultural displacement, and eventually shook him away from the Computer Science major to which he had committed himself by default. Enamored of cultural and period literature, he soon became an English major with a concentration in writing at Kean University. There, he received a scholarship to study in Prague, where he explored ancient magic, religion and the Islamic faith. In his final year at Kean, he sought help to further his writing abilities, and teamed up with fellow student Kevin Wright to co-found the Kean University Writers’ Workshop (KUWW). He helped in directing the workshop, and simultaneously interned at the Level Five Media literary agency in New York where he was introduced to the world of publishing. After graduating from Kean with a B.A., he went on to learn more about the publishing biz in the Columbia Publishing Course. Now, after having completed the publishing course and (possibly) school altogether, he teaches middle school English and Literature on the weekends and enjoys hanging out at his local coffee shop where he’s known to take up his regular stool and work on his latest KUWW project.
